Yunnan Shilin PV Power Plant of 20MW has connected grids successfully for power generation

    The first phase of Kunming Shilin solar PV grid-connected demonstration power plant with 20 MW, which has a No.1 design installed capacity in Asia, connected grids officially on May 25th. This 20 MW project has used high-power grid-connected inverters of Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd.

    Shilin solar PV grid-connected demonstration power plant has a total installed capacity of 166MW, which is co-invested and developed by Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower Co., Ltd and Yundiantou New Energy Development Co., Ltd. Huaneng has launched a total investment of about RMB 5 billion yuan for construction scale of 100MW; Yundiantou has invested about RMB 4 billion yuan in total for construction scale of 66MW. This 20MW project has usedhigh-power grid-connected inverters invented by Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd independently. This inverter has reached international leading level in reliability, transfer efficiency, electrical energy quality and other technical indexes, and satisfied the latest requirements of China National Grid. It has passed through Golden Sun, CE, KEMA certificates and has been applied to many large-scale PV projects successfully, such as Shanghai Expo, 20MW demonstration power plant of Dunhuang concession bidding, Ningxia Sun Mountain and Ningxia Shizui Mountain.

    In the process of designing and constructing this project, Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd has fully exerted the advantages of professional technology and services, made up optimized system entry program for power plant individually, and have provided comprehensive and prompt technical support in the process of construction, which providing powerful support for the successful establishment of power plant.     This power plant is located at famous Shilin scenic spot in our country, and at present it is the biggest PV power plant in southwset domestically. After the completion, the power plant will have annual power generation of 195 million KWh and annual carbon dioxide emission reduction of 150,000 tons, which will make great contribution for energy-saving and emission-reduction project in Yunnan Shilin scenic spot.
